
Hon. William Samoei Ruto, the esteemed President, presided over the momentous event of the commencement of a community kitchen construction at Roysambu Primary in Nairobi County.
This initiative involves the establishment of cutting-edge and forward-thinking kitchens, with the primary goal of providing nutritious meals to a minimum of 260,000 students in Nairobi. School feeding serves as a protective measure for disadvantaged households, acting as an intelligent investment that significantly impacts the well-being of our children.
President Ruto’s stated that his government is committed to enhancing our collaboration with counties and other involved parties to ensure the triumph of such initiatives, promoting both enrollment rates and academic achievements among students.
He further stated that the efforts will be purposeful and concentrated, guaranteeing the effective execution of the program. The government aims to expand the reach of this initiative from the current 1.6 million children to four million, with President Ruto overseeing the inauguration of the Dishi Na County School Feeding Programme in Roysambu, as part of Nairobi City County’s efforts.
