In contrast to 2021, there were more students who received an A on the KCSE in 2022. Ezekiel Machogu, CS for Education, says this.
CS Ezekiel Machogu stated that 1,146 pupils received an overall grade of A stand in 2022 as opposed to 1,138 candidates who received an A in 2021 when announcing the results at Mitihani House on Friday.
Those who got a minimum university grade of C plus and above were 173, 340 forming 19.03% up from 145, 776 17.55 in 2021. D plus and above were 522,588 candidates in 2022 KCSE.
Students who got an A stand in 2022 were 271 female students and 875 male students.A total of 884,263 students did the KSCE exams in 2022.
Machogu also said that the students in grade seven will report to their respective schools on January 3, 2023.
He stated that in the upcoming fiscal year, the government will invest Ksh 18 billion on JSS. Out of the Ksh. 15000 capitation per learner, Ksh. 4,000 will be used to build laboratories.
